As Head of Student Development and a key member of the school’s leadership team and steering committee, I supported the Vice-Principal (Academic) in driving the school’s vision and mission. My role involved providing strategic leadership in curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment across faculties. I developed and disseminated resources and guidelines to enhance teaching, learning, and assessment practices, and worked collaboratively with faculty teams to lead, monitor, and evaluate innovative pedagogical approaches for continuous improvement.
I oversaw key student development programmes, including Student Service Learning, Character Values and Education, Discipline & Rewards, Student Council, and Co-Curricular Activities (CCA). Alongside my leadership responsibilities, I also served as a senior Business teacher, delivering curriculum to students from Years 9 to 12.
My extensive experience across both teaching and leadership roles has enabled me to take on a wide spectrum of responsibilities within the school setting. I have worked closely with key personnel, including Heads of Departments and teachers, to lead and contribute to curriculum development across diverse programmes such as the Singapore-Cambridge GCE, Cambridge IGCSE, Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE), and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). These collaborative efforts have strengthened my leadership capabilities and strategic planning skills. Additionally, engaging with external stakeholders—including parents and government agencies—has refined my communication and organisational competencies, equipping me with the confidence and expertise to contribute meaningfully to school growth and development at a systemic level.
