Merlions Swim Team + Singapore Aquatics

- Planned and launched a fundraising for the Tanglin Trust School’s Merlions Swim Team in support of Singapore Aquatics Learn-to-Swim programme for children and youth from vulnerable homes.
- Exceeded fundraising target by 27% and total amount was doubled with Singapore Government’s matching grant which enabled 25 children to attend 6 months of swim lessons.

- Led a team of two other high school students from Hong Kong and worked closely with a Biology Professor and a third year medical student to review market analysis data, analysed medical research papers in the area of Bio-medicine product development and competitive information.
- Our team presented a prototype proposal for Telehealth and workshop services for the YourCycle App to a panel of YourCycle executive members. Proposal was well received with a high score of 87% versus the cohort’s mean score of 66%.

- Awarded funds by Tanglin Trust Foundation and co-organised a Cycling Challenge at WAO Gym in support of It’s Raining Raincoats aim to build bridges between migrant workers and Singaporeans.
- Fundraiser was named “Working for the Workers”, my co-organiser and I completed the Cycle Challenge on Labour Day and raised a total of S$3,612. Total funds raised enabled us to deliver 400 meal boxes, beverages and hygiene packs to migrant workers at a Punggol worksite.
