PnL Management:
- Good management of the PnL of 2 Divisions, Engine Division and Diving Division, each about 5mil USD Revenue results coming in within expectations despite external headwinds in the first 2 quarters, by doing monthly reviews and adjusting budgets according to forecast.
Commercial Negotiation and Evaluation
- Successfully oversaw bid preparation for 2 major RFPs for offshore subsea construction for major EPCs working for Aramco
- Conducted a Cost Benefit Analysis and Feasibility Study for both projects to ascertain commercial and economic viability
- Negotiated successfully long term contracts for both projects
External Collaborations & Events
- ASMI – Worked closely with ASMI to implement Career Conversion Programme and Job Redesign Reskilling Programmes as well as embarking on Marine Digitalization Programme for the company. Participated in LEAD programme through ASMI and exihibited at ADIPEC 2024
- Paxocean, Cyclect, Jason Marine – Set up collaboration agreements / JV agreements to assist these companies to set up in Saudi. With each of these companies bringing an additional service / value add to the community in Saudi, it brings us closer to the vision of an integrated marine hub.
- Enterprise Singapore – Worked with Enterprise Singapore to host business delegates of companies interested to set up in Saudi .
R&D and Innovation
- Survey the landscape of the latest technological developments and assess which technologies can give a competitive advantage
- Incorporated PAUT into company NDT offerings after assessing a gap in the market for NDT that does not require extensive surface preparation and can be done in situ offshore.
- Oversaw project that made use of IOT technological developments to improve connectivity of offshore team with onshore team. Live CCTV stream broadcast so that onshore client and supervisor can track project progress in real time.
- Worked with vendor to prototype a digital chief engineer for marine engines, so based on the design parameters of the engines and the sensors collecting live engine parameters, an AI will learn how to be a chief engineer giving maintenance and repair recommendations and preventing catastrophic failure
Project Management:
- Successfully oversaw 20 High Speed Diesel Engine Major Overhauling Projects, project values ranging from 50k USD to 500k USD, by delegating responsibilities appropriately to line managers and checking in regularly both internally and externally on key deadlines.
- Successfully kickstart the execution of a 300 days long term Diving offshore construction project with a major new client working for Aramco, by planning suitably for subject matter experts to lead and contribute to the SOP and at the same time, leading and rallying the operations team to take on new responsibilities positively to ensure smooth operations.
- Successfully oversaw execution of 2 call outs of high stakes high visibility diving projects by delegating appropriately the workload and ensuring the team remained focused during the project, with operations focused on service delivery and commercials managing customer relations.
Internal Communication & Collaborations:
- Ensure that employee's welfare and well being are being taken care of by having lines of communications for grievances and feedback made clear and open through having a clear organization chart and strong HR presence.
- Forged meaningful collaborations with our JV companies, Paxocean, Cyclect, Jason Marine & Hoidi International to assist to launch their operations in KSA by having regular check ins both formally and informally to align our strategies and ensure synergies in our operations.
Customer Account Management:
- Ensure Customers' positive experience by ensuring good service delivery (operational excellence) and having sufficient touchpoints for customer feedback, through implement a comprehensive CRM system that ensures that the teams reaches out to the customer both digitally and physically.
Quality Assurance & Risk Management:
- Achieved a safe and healthy work environment with zero fatalities and minimal loss time incidents through working with the QSHE manager to implement an open and effective safety framework and setting up SOPs and exercises that cultivate a safety mindset throughout the organization.
- Ensured that our service delivery is always meeting or exceeding customer's expectations by having regular internal discussions on continuous improvement and collecting external feedback through planning with the QSHE manager a good execution of the quality manual.
- Successfully identified and mitigate risks (delayed Aramco projects) associated with operations and financial performance by having quarterly meetings to appraise the risks and make adjustments to strategies and budget.
