Designed and implemented a text processing pipeline

• Built a text processing pipeline using NiFi and Kafka.
• Integrated various text annotators and scaled text annotators through docker compose and nginx.
• Created RESTful web services to complement and enhance existing text annotators.

Implemented and enhanced ingestion pipeline

• Enhanced ingestion pipeline with automated file extraction and clean-up tool.
• Implemented avro-schema registry for schema validations.

Developed machine learning applications

• Developed a machine learning based recommender system.
• Created a change detection machine learning tool which helps to identify sudden changes in the usage of the application.

• Gathered and defined user requirements to develop clear specifications for the application.
• Developed both the backend functions and frontend user interface.

Business reporting to higher management

• Prepared and presented monthly business reports, organization and management performance reviews on staff resource allocation, project timeliness and balance score card to senior management (Director, Assistant Director and Department Heads).
• Handled the formulation and (trends & variance) analysis of ad-hoc business reports to senior management that enabled better informed decision making.
• Improved algorithms and ensured data integrity of in-house developed project management systems by acting as a bridge between business and technology teams during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of DSTA's business systems.

Server automation and system security

• Planned, designed, and implemented server provisioning/patching automation for over 200 servers in server farm which greatly reduced time and complexity for system administrators to install various operating systems and patches.
• Planned and oversaw system security and risk reviews, ensuring that systems were configured to standards required by Ministry of Defence.
