  • Led a team in supervising a portfolio of close to 200 retail fund managers and external asset managers. One notable outcome of our supervision was the discovery and investigation of Singapore’s largest ponzi scheme perpetuated by Ng Yu Zhi, who has since been arrested by CAD.
  • Led a Sustainable Finance Workgroup to develop and implement policies relating to sustainable finance for the asset management industry. This includes the publication of the Environmental Risk Management Guidelines for Asset Managers in 2020 and the drafting of the Transition Planning Guidelines for Asset Managers, which were publicly consulted on in 2023.
  • Led an AML Workgroup to guide the Investment Intermediaries Department in AML policy matters, including the interpretation of requirements for asset managers.
  • Oversaw the successful implementation of compareFIRST, a web-based portal that enables consumers to access and compare life insurance policies that meet their needs.
