Summary

I am a passionate and dynamic Education and Career Guidance (ECG) Counsellor with a strong desire to empower students. My counseling sessions are personalized to inspire hope and positivity, equipping students with critical skills for their ECG exploration journey. I thrive on creating innovative programs and forming valuable partnerships with stakeholders to introduce impactful schoolwide ECG initiatives, ensuring students are future-ready. Prior to my ECGC role, I had 18 years of experience as an Education Officer, and had successfully managed diverse responsibilities such as planning, implementing, reviewing, organizing, developing, and coordinating multiple Character Development programs; in addition to my teaching responsibilities as an English Language teacher. Throughout my career, I have been a peer leader in various school committees and have taken on additional duties within the English Department.

With a growth mindset, I am eager to leverage skills and experiences to support students in their post-secondary education. Given my passion for fostering student growth and readiness for future challenges; coupled with strong background in stakeholder management, I am excited about exploring the role of being a Lecturer with Nanyang Polytechnic's Centre for Innovation and Life Skills and contributing to its mission. Adaptive and motivated, I eagerly look forward to developing valuable communication and life skills in students while supporting them on their learning journeys.
