Krishna is a current Masters of Public Policy -Li Ka Shing Scholar at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. With a dedication to prevent Gender-based Violence (GBV) and promoting gender equality, Krishna leverages over 7 years of experience in grassroots non-profits in India to bring a participatory and innovative approach to development interventions.

One of Krishna's notable initiatives is Surud, a youth-led sports campaign which she curated and leads. Through this campaign, Krishna has sparked significant strides in promoting gender-sensitive behavior and actions and preventing Violence against Women among indigenous communities in Jharkhand, over the past two years.

  • Designed and led the state-level participatory learning exchange on the theme ‘Female adolescent sexuality in addressing child marriage' that contributed to global learning activities of More Than Brides Alliance (MTBA) for effective child marriage prevention programming
  • Provided strategic vision and leadership to ensure long term sustainability of gender program; developed a comprehensive 5 years' strategic plan for the program in line with the organization's overall strategy
  • Developed a home-grown knowledge management system to promote program visibility and innovations within the organization, participants and external stakeholders.

  • Led a Skill Development Project that trained 650 marginalized youth from Gurgaon district, Haryana for entry-level jobs in service sector

  • Integrated gender into the Monitoring Evaluation and Learning framework that increased and sustained women's participation in the training and subsequent placement by 30%.
