Field experience:

  • Verify that level switches on Fluid Reservoir Unit (FRU) activate alarm system when fluid level reaches low-level set point.
  • Verify Hydraulic Pumping Unit (HPU) electrically operated actuator ball valves (Worcester Controls) open/close by sending command via HPU Interface Panel and Central Control Unit (CCU). Using jog button, verify that positive displacement quintuplex pumps (ClydeUnion Pumps, Reliable Pumps) rotation is correct. Verify all pressure relief valves in HPU skid have been calibrated and tag correctly. Pressure up skid to 5000psi to check pipe work and ball valves integrity. Pre-charged all accumulators with nitrogen.
  • Function test solenoid valves of Diverter Control Skid via CCU to activate pneumatic operated directional control valves on skid. From CCU, confirm commands are transmitted to increase and decrease regulator on skid. Pressure test skid to check for pipe work and ball valves integrity. Check for any leaks on directional control valves, flow control valves and check valves in system.
