Kaushal Swaminathan

A self-motivated and enthusiastic final year student who enjoys working in groups and coming up with innovative solutions to problems under pressure. Looking for an opportunity to apply the soft skills and the technical knowledge learnt during the four years in university as well as opportunities to gain experience in the field of Aerodynamics.

• Working on the dissertation topic of Photovoltaic panels on aircraft structures.
• Currently working as one of the main Avionics leads in Avis drone projects with the university with the aim of building a drone in order to participate in the iMechE challenge 2025.
• Was the avionics system and mission planning lead in the group project in which we are building a VTOL drone in the third year of university.
• Built a drone in second year as a university assignment using Fusion 360 and was part of the avionics team, which helped in the wiring and programming the drone.
• Was the Sub team leader of one of the Avionics teams in Project Kestrel, which is involved in building a prototype of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) which is used in the transportation of vital medical supplies in rural Africa.
• Built a Rain Alarm using simple electrical supplies.
• Was a part of the Global Engineering Challenge (GEC).
• Participated in a group engineering challenge, Engineering: You’re Hired (EYH).
