Roles & Responsibilities
· Perform duties as Workplace Safety & Health Coordinator and Environmental Control Officer (ECO).
· Ensure compliance with MOM, NEA, PUB and client environmental requirements.
· Conduct environmental inspections covering dust, noise, waste management, drainage, housekeeping and pollution prevention.
· Monitor Environmental Control Measures (ECM) and Environmental Management Plans (EMP).
· Prepare environmental inspection reports and corrective action reports.
· Conduct daily WSH inspections and environmental audits.
· Assist the occupier of the worksite to identify any unsafe condition in the worksite or unsafe work practice which is carried out in the worksite.
· Recommend to the occupier of the worksite to implement such reasonably practicable measures to remedy the unsafe condition or unsafe work practice; and
· Assist the occupier of the worksite to implement such reasonably practicable measures
· Review Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures and Method Statements.
· Manage Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.
· Conduct toolbox meetings, WSH inductions and environmental awareness training.
· Investigate incidents, near misses and environmental complaints.
· Coordinate with clients, consultants and subcontractors on HSE matters.
· Participate in safety committee inspections and meetings.
· Arrange statutory inspections for lifting equipment and lifting gears.
