As key person to take over entire API Operations Finance FP&A activities from Hong Kong Finance team upon legal entity migration

• Successfully set up new Operations Finance team in Singapore headquarter, provided on job training for teammates and managed to streamline and improve reporting process significantly, received award from CFO on successful transition and process improvements
• Lead operations finance team to manage FP&A activities for sourcing of Active Ingredients across globe via Tolling, In-house Manufacturing and Direct Purchases
• Collaborate closely with global key stakeholders such as Operations Leader/Global Procurement Group/Supply Chain leader to report and improve manufacturing performance via variance reporting and controlling

• As key person for monthly EBIT reporting and present monthly results to global leaders
• As key person for leading process on COGs budget preparation (including standard setting) and monthly forecasting for entire AI Supply division
• Review of monthly submission for cashflow and working capital forecast
• Assist direct superior for monthly Global AI Plant Review and EBIT consolidation (five AI MFG Plants)
• Support Internal (SOX) and External audit as well as any other queries from Corporate or local government
• Other analytical work such as scenario analysis for cost comparison, audit queries, standard cost equalization …etc.

• In charge of regional ops finance (FP&A) activities for Singapore and Australia plants and 3rd party manufacturers including daily finance queries, monthly MFG cost/variances review, annual standard setting review and operating budget preparation etc
• Oversee work performed by shared services team pertaining to APAC manufacturing plants, troubleshooting as needed
• Involved in SAP S4 HANA migration project for testing on BIT, UAT and Data validation as super user for APAC region
• Supported costing methodology change from Actual Costing to Standard costing, provided training to plant leadership teams
• In charge of monthly consolidation of EBIT package for MFG plants for APAC, preparation of commentary for overall variances and UOC analysis
• In charge of consolidation of budget preparation for APAC region, review with regional ops director and plant leadership teams
• Lead standard cost review process for APAC region, work closely with country ops finance analysts and plant leadership teams
• Support other ops finance analysts within APAC region for troubleshooting, coaching, deep dive etc.
• Support commercial FP&A team and Controllership team for queries pertaining to plants, provide input as needed
• Support internal SOX audit and external audit as needed
• Support regional CapEx projects as well as other ad hoc projects.

• Handling FP&A activities including Plan, LBE and Roll-forward budget preparation for capital, project expense, overhead etc

• Preparation of Overhead Absorption forecast based on monthly projected loading volume and review with Planning Team and site director as well as division finance leaders
• Review of RCE (Request for Capital Expenditure) financials with project managers and division capital office, preparation of financial assumptions write-up and ROI calculation for Financial Capital projects
• Monitor Capex and project expense spending to ensure both are controlled within budget per RCE approved
• Conducted finance training for project managers and assisted EDB grant claim from government
• Review of fixed asset accounting activities performed by shared service; preparation of quarterly depreciation forecast
• In charge of calculation and analysis of MUV (Material Usage Variance) for plant, Review Process Orders with production team and highlight significant MUV to management team for improvement
• Conduct monthly cost center review with HOD, Review and approve shopping cart purchase
• Follow Up and maintenance of standard cost setting for new materials, update of material master data, and review of costing BOM creation for Finished Goods
• Manage and supervise shared services team and outsourced finance team to deliver results accurately and timely
• Support internal (SOX)and External audit
• Coaching and training for finance intern assigned from corporate every six month as well as other stakeholders.

• In charge of Inter-company bill (ICB) and reconciliation at each month-end; Responsible for monthly netting process with intercompany affiliates, liaising with affiliates for any out of balance and resolve timely
• Responsible for sales reporting (D.5.6) and accounts receivable; Handling month-end accruals and general ledger reconciliation as well as audit schedule preparation
• Supported Tech
• Center, R&D spending tracking, performed processes review for SAP FI system and made recommendation for improvement
• Managed cash flow forecast and reporting, prepared bank reconciliation for month-end
• Liaising with bankers and Corporate Treasury for resolving any bank related issues, preparation of Treasury Reporting
• Involved in SAP Symphony project implementation for treasury, inter-co area as well as AP & AR process
• Participated in finance transformation within AMS organization, provided training for Shared Service team and outsourced team.

• In charge of Accounts Payable function, responsible for withholding tax filing and reporting
• Proactively worked with various departments to streamline process and resolve issues on timely basis
• Preparation of relevant audit schedules, revaluation of foreign exchange, month end reports and other corporate reporting; Handled Fixed Asset Accounting for R&D and RISC grant claim from EDB.

• Involved in commissioning nutritional plant (Abbott ) as pioneer batch member, mainly in charge of running drying process per daily production schedule, provided coaching and troubleshooting sharing for team members; team lead to deliver production results.

• As a member of the commissioning team and participated in the start-up of Multi-Product Plant; in charge of various chemical process for daily operation to deliver result per production schedule.
