Summary

I am an educator who passionately believes in the importance of student-centredness as a core value in teaching and learning. My years in the profession have shown me that the best pedagogical approaches ground curricula and concepts in students' one experiences and needs, and that students learn most effective when they see the relevance of what they are taught. I believe strongly in the value of teaching by facilitation and collaborative learning, and believe that teaching should develop not only conceptual knowledge, but also social and emotional competencies, as well as key life skills.
