• Responsible for installation, laying, and termination of cables to circuit breakers, transformers, switchboards, and other electrical components.
• Conduct installation of DB panel, LV main board, final wiring accessories (i.e power and lighting points) and provide assistance in installation of transformer and HV switchboard.
• Conduct Testing of electrical systems such as continuity checks for cables, insulation and contact resistance, earth tests, for circuit wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using ohmmeter, insulation tester, earth tester among others.
• Conducts quality checks for electrical installations and ensures that it is installed as per approved drawings and schematics.
• Coordinate and liaise with engineers, project consultants, architects, main contractor’s site coordinator for the electrical design and site installation methods and resolves clashes with other services.
• Involved in preventive and corrective maintenance works, and system trouble shooting of electrical installation.
• Ensures that electrical installation is based on Code of Practice and Standards (SS and International Standards).
• Reports to Project Manager for the latest update on the site progress, material status among others.
• Prepare Project material submittals, Method Statements, and documents to get approval from main contractor, consultant and client.
• Verify sub-contractors monthly progress claim.
• Coordinates with other services, makes modifications as necessary and recommends solutions to site conflicts and interfacing.
• Maintains effective working relationship with contractors, clients, vendors, and other staff.
• Can identify issues and make corrective measures to fix problems with electrical components.
• Inspecting and rectifying unsafe place of work.
• Set up a schedule of inspection to ensure unsafe practice and conditions are promptly rectified.
• Arrange the inspection for mechanical and electrical tools.
• Inspecting the lifting group and all necessary requirements.
• Organize a proper system for documentation of records and reports as required.
