Lot Tracking & Visual Management:

  • Enhance the visual management of lot statuses using Google Sheets to create a real-time lot tracking board, providing an easy-to-understand overview of current operations and status.
  • Design and optimize the user interface (UI) for updating and monitoring lot status, utilizing Python as the backbone to streamline updates to the tracking board.

Production Scheduling & Machine Assignment:

  • Develop and manage production schedules for lots, including assigning appropriate machines and resources, optimizing schedules to reduce delays and improve throughput.
  • Implement a First In, First Out (FIFO) system for better lot management, ensuring consistency, maintainability, and improved lead time across all production stages.

Improve On-Time In-Full (OTIF) Delivery:

  • Focus on improving the OTIF percentage from an average of 70% to 95%, and ensure consistent maintenance of this improvement.
  • Work to identify and eliminate root causes of delays or issues that impact OTIF performance.

Streamline Workflow & Process Redesign:

  • Redesign and optimize the flow of information and goods across all stages (Customer Service → Pre-press → Press → Post-press → Delivery), ensuring a seamless, one-directional flow of tasks and materials.
  • Eliminate back-and-forth communication and delays, leading to reduced lead times and increased efficiency.

Risk Lot Management & Reduction:

  • Identify and manage “risk lots” — lots that are delayed or not processed within 24 hours of being scheduled.
  • Work towards reducing the daily risk lot count from 10+ to 1 or fewer, implementing preventive actions to avoid recurrence.

Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions:

  • Investigate root causes of lots that are in risk, do not meet OTIF, or face other operational challenges.
  • Develop corrective and preventive actions to address recurring issues and prevent delays, improving overall operational reliability.

Collaborative Liaison with Subcontractors:

  • Act as a liaison between internal teams and subcontractors to maintain smooth communication, resolve lead time concerns, and ensure timely and efficient production flow.
  • Create, communicate, and maintain standard lead times for subcontractors to follow, ensuring consistent production quality and timely deliveries.

Monthly Order Finalization & Reporting:

  • Assist in finalizing the monthly orders, ensuring all required materials, resources, and production capabilities are in place.
