  • To lead and support regional offices to systematically maintain and operate performance capability of existing overhead lines distribution assets to the desired level through maintenance planning & effective implementation
  • To prepare yearly schedule of pole top inspection & maintenance for the region’s proper scheduling & monitoring tools
  • To monitor asset maintenance for example for overhead lines (OHL), to monitor & follow up with the regions on their Pole Top Inspection (PTI), Pole Base Inspection (PBI) and Pole Top Maintenance (PTM) and also Vegetation Management
  • To analyze all the relevant data such as tripping records, causes of line tripping and feedback to regional offices
  • To follow up & further study on the regions improvement plan on the overhead lines system performance especially the Worst Performing Feeders (WPF)
  • Coordinate the condition based monitoring (CBM) team in ensuring the life-span of our equipment could be maximizes through lines and substation equipment scanning by using drones, infrared camera & ultrasound where we could detect equipment defects prior to equipment failure due to corona discharge, unattended hotspot & other possible factors
  • To improve line reliability with constraints like breakdowns due to transients, animals & lightning
  • Trending and monitoring the maintenance activities to measure maintenance efficiency & effectiveness for up keeping of the maintenance process
  • Analyze maintenance details for each line/feeder and compare against breakdowns in order to determine the type of additional works required for a particular line to improve its reliability
  • Develop and prepare Standard Operation Practices (SOP) and guidelines on overhead line and equipment maintenance
