I am an independent and hardworking girl who aims to do the best in anything that is given to me. I am well organised to do things in an efficient and orderly manner and I am well prepared for any scenarios that can happen while working. I may be an introvert but I am not afraid to stand on my feet and voice out anything that is bothering me or that is required to do hence why I love working as a team to achieve positive outcome for the patients well being.
I register patients, answer phone calls and queries from patients, chaperone, do the necessary administrative work, top up medications, claiming of insurance and medisave as well as dispensing medications to patients.
As an Anaesthesia Nurse, I assisted Doctors by preparing the equipments needed to let the patient be ready for their surgery. After surgery is completed, I would then assist Doctors to remove the intubation tube from the patient and transfer them back to the trolley while waiting for them to be awake.
As a Post Anaesthesia Care Unit(PACU) Nurse, I received patients post surgery and monitor their condition before I am able to send them back to their wards for them to have a proper rest. If their condition does not satisfy the PACU Medical Officer standard, I will then ask my Staff Nurses to help me administer medications for my patients if they are in pain or feel nauseous.
