  • Review rig selection and fit for purpose operability of selected rig
  • Completed slot recovery of +20yr old well with significantly corroded 30" conductor and successfully drilled and completed ERD well within budget
  • Full SIMOPS conducted safely during this one well campaign with gas and oil producing wells.

  • Responsible for the drilling management and advisory role for a turnkey contract with COSL Drilling Services in the East China Sea
  • This involved negotiating and overseeing the contract for a 2 plus 1 well exploration campaign utilizing a jack-up rig in 85m water depth
  • Successfully completed the exploration campaign safely and within budget, despite facing the additional challenge of having to evacuate the rig twice due to cyclones
  • Responsibilities included managing the drilling operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards, and liaising with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project.

  • Drilling Manager and Superintendent for the Ophir marginal field development contract, which was awarded to OPSB in 2014 by PETRONAS as part of a Risk Sharing Contract (RSC) targeting small fields in the Malaysian Peninsula
  • Coordinated the Drilling Engineering and Completions Team, as well as the Procurement and Logistics team, for the Ophir marginal field development contract
  • Contracted all services necessary for a 3 plus 1 development campaign utilizing a Jack Up rig in 75m water depth
  • Worked with the G&G Sub-Surface group to engineer and design the wells cost-effectively
  • Unfortunately, the campaign was put on hold due to falling oil prices.

  • Responsible for the contracting and implementation of 12 well gas development campaign with a new build platform rig in the Bay of Bengal, Myanmar
  • Project name was Shwe Development
  • The development comprised 11 gas producer wells and 1 disposal well
  • All wells were 3D directional with a maximum angle of 65 degrees and a maximum depth of 6000m.

  • Comprised of Jacket / Platform Topsides installation, 2 horizontal gas wells and a horizontal oil completion as an infill well on the existing Oyong Platform, which also included considerable SIMOPs activities with development, construction and production groups.

  • This was Roc Oil's first offshore development as an independent operator
  • The field is located in an extremely environmentally sensitive area close to shore.
