  • The primary goal of this role is to provide technical and operational engineering expertise in the field of safe landfill operation and red gypsum based derivative production. By incorporating engineering best practices, local regulatory requirements and Venator’s Operation Standard with the aim to execute the venator Business and TK Site’s sustainability targets as well as achieve overall site life targets.
  • In addition, there is a key focus on collaborative work with the Eco product team to develop Eco Gypsum derivative products, with a specific emphasis on red gypsum operation and process engineering.
  • To continuously improve the overall operational excellence of the landfill and gypsum derivative production. This includes Zero Harm practices, enhancing throughput and quality, prolonging the site life, reducing the rate of red gypsum generation and achieving optimum operational c1. All duties are to be carried out at all times in compliance with all Venator Corporate and Venator EHS, Zero Harm, product stewardship, business conduct policies and guidelines, and comply to the Local legislation.
  • 2. Responsible for overseeing the operation of landfill areas and gypsum derivative production. This includes managing regulatory authorities, specifically in regards to scheduled waste and effluent water quality management. Involve in activities such as landfill merging, waste handling contractor management and meeting gypsum derivative customer expectation. And closely collaborate with the WE/NTUT Area Manager, Superintendent and related operation team.
  • 3. Oversee, administer and fill management budgets for efficient utilization of allocated funds.
  • 4. Ensure that all scheduled waste management measures are in good keeping with current waste disposal , handling and transportation legislation.
  • 5. Regular updates on the remaining site life is a priority. Conducting landfill field survey to help gather valuable information for long term sustainability improvement planning.
  • 6. Actively involve in creating and remaining site life improvement plans. To focus on Zero Harm practices, reducing red gypsum generation, optimization storage capacity and lagoon operation and meeting customer demands for gypsum derivative products. Additionally any other operational improvement identified.
  • 7. As the Scheduled waste management focal person for production, particularly oversee the disposal of new waste into landfill and to provide support to Eco team in converting poor quality TiO2 product to sealable Ceranti Balance product
  • 8. Ensure all activities within the landfill area comply with regulatory requirements and engineering standards. This includes regular field audits, environmental tests and geotechnical tests, all aimed at maintaining the storage, transportation, geotechnical and water quality.
  • 9. Actively contribute for development of gypsum derivative products, working closely with the eco team to provide constructive input and support their execution.
  • 10. Achieve landfill operational excellence by continuously reviewing and monthly performance metrics.
  • 11. To be a team member for any EHS Risk Assessment for Landfill related project or MOC using Hazard and operability studies methodology right from Hazop 1 to Hazop 6 including PSSRosts
