Hong Jek Teoh

• have been working as an intern since Year 1 (equivalent to Secondary 1) for about 6 years now.
• my main job and responsibilities in this veterinary group are:

- able to handle blood laboratory work independently;

- assist Veterinarian in patient consultation ;

- assist in treatment and surgery ;

- helping Vet technician and Vet Nurses in hospital ward and

take care of ward patient

· I have been volunteer for AWWA since my Year 1 with NUS High school (equivalent secondary 1) for about 6 years now;

· my main roles are assisting school teachers to handling therapy equipment, cataloguing of dental and medical supplies at school clinic;

· spring clean the environment to ensure safety of special need children ;

· in year 2022 since i was already 16 years old, I volunteered myself as Child Minder role to take care of special need children.

I was selected as Young Ambassador for AWWA at its 50th Anniversary and a short video clip of me was featured in AWWA social media.

I was interviewed by Strait Times and was featured in Strait Times on 24 December 2024 - " Smart Parenting - Life lessons for Kids and Parents' , my quote was addressed as "I've become more empathetic as a result of volunteering ...i feel that I've made an impact on the lives of the people i have met"

• 2019 completed NCOC Non Commissioned Officer Course
• 2020 completed ANCOC-Advanced Non-Commissioned Officer Course
• 2021 - Singapore Resustitation and First Aid Council - obtained Standard First Aid pass
• 2021 - Singapore Resustitation and First Aid Council - obtained CPR and AED Provider Course
• 2022 - obtained Corps Nursing Home Instructor Course (able to conduct nursing home course to St John team)
• 2023 - Obtained OTC officer and received OFFICER appointment from ST John HQ
• 2022 to 2024 VICE CHAIRMAN and HEAD Trainer

• Representing St John to volunteer in this Special event
• helping in "Kidney We Care: Let's Revoluationise ! (KWCLR 2023) as crowd control and quene management.
