Key Responsibilities:

• Install, service, and maintain satellite communication systems on both offshore and onshore vessels, ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety regulations.
• Lead technical support operations, including conducting site surveys, generating service reports, and producing project documentation to aid in planning and execution.
• Deliver voice and data connectivity solutions to offshore/onshore rigs and vessels, including:
• VSAT antenna assembly and installation
• Setup of GEO (Geostationary Earth Orbit), MEO (Medium Earth Orbit), and LEO (Low Earth Orbit) antennas
• Installation of LAN infrastructure and RF cabling with proper terminations
• Fiber optic splicing and testing
• Configuration and deployment of network equipment (routers, switches, etc.)
• Basic Cisco device programming and network troubleshooting
• Utilize diagnostic tools such as spectrum analyzers, digital voltmeters, Fluke testers, and fiber testers to ensure optimal system performance.
• Provide on-site technical support and issue resolution for rig operators and clients.
• Conduct training sessions and deliver comprehensive documentation to onboard personnel and management on equipment usage and maintenance protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participated in daily planning sessions, briefings, and permitting meetings.

• Executed IT/Telecoms scope of work in coordination with the US Design Team and under supervision of the Telecoms Site Lead.

Systems & Equipment:

• Oversaw installation of Office IT Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) and Central Control Room (CCR) systems.
• Integrated IT, Telecoms, and Facility Control System equipment into OFE consoles.
• Supported system configuration and pre-commissioning for:
• WAN, LAN, servers, and networking equipment
• Radio and CCTV systems
• Marine and SOLAS-compliant systems
• Satellite and A/V equipment
• Integrated control room electronics

Commissioning & Troubleshooting:

• Collaborated with Process Control Domain (PCD)/Operational Technology (OT) teams for facility-wide network integration.
• Supported Commissioning Start-Up (CSU) activities, including structured cabling and fiber optic interconnections.
• Performed troubleshooting and repair of network issues and cable faults.
• Executed System Commissioning Procedures (SCPs) according to project timelines.

• Installed fiber optic and cable TV networks in both residential and commercial buildings.
• Performed installation, testing, and support for DSL internet, voice, and related telecommunications technologies.
• Conducted fiber optic cabling, splicing, patching, and repair work.
