Assist shop owner with managing the convenience store and customers.

• Assisted customers with product selections and inquiries, enhancing overall shopping experience.
• Maintained cleanliness and organization of store displays and merchandise to promote efficient customer access.
• Operated cash register accurately, processing transactions swiftly to reduce wait times for customers.
• Monitored expiration dates on perishable items, ensuring product quality and safety standards were upheld.
• Implemented effective merchandising strategies to maximize product visibility and sales potential by updating and improving the photographs uploaded in an online platform, Grab.
• Stocked shelves efficiently, ensuring product availability and reducing restocking time.
• Balanced cash register at end of day accurately, ensuring accountability for all transactions processed during the shift.
• Greeted customers entering store and offered assistance with requirements.
• Inputted data daily such as price increase of products, expenses incurred and daily earnings in a spreadsheet.
• Utilized strong problem-solving skills when faced with unexpected challenges or complications during daily operations especially during the peak hours, 7 to 8 pm, where we had customers shopping for groceries and shopee parcel pick ups and drop offs. Customers who had just got back from work were often tired and sometimes aggressive or hostile but the shop owner and I maintained a level head and managed the customers with kindness and patience.

Role:

Help public with transport voucher redemption that was given by the government and troubleshoot issues and answer any questions the public might have about the vouchers.
