Managed up to 4 patient cases under supervision, including:

• Admitting, discharging patients and managing intra-hospital transfers.
• Receiving and handing over patient care plans.
• Managing holistic patient care.
• Coordinate patient care with healthcare team members.
• Administer medications to patients with appropriate education advised.
• Reconstitute, dilute and prepared IV/IM/SC medications.
• Prepare patients for, and receive them from procedures.
• Carry out patient and family education.

2 weeks internship

• Gained valuable knowledge on how to interact with and nurse patients with mental illness.
• Planned and conducted a structured ward activity with patients.
• Learned to manage psychological crises/emergencies.

2 weeks internship

Managed up to 2 cases under supervision, including;

• Care of patients with a communicable disease
• Assist / care in diagnostic / invasive procedure
• Assist in the administration of medications

2 weeks internship - Pediatric Department

• Assess & perform measures to reduce fall risk in a pediatric setting
• Assess & measure vital signs of a pediatric patient
• Infection control practices
• Case study on a patient with inguinal hernia

3 weeks internship - General Medicine Department

• Perform medical/surgical hand wash/rub
• Assess & measure vital sign
• Assess & perform measures to prevent pressure ulcer
• Assess & perform measures to reduce fall risk
• Care of patient with peripheral IV access

1 week internship

• Carry out activities of daily living for patients.
• Ensure that the patients' basic needs are met.
• Monitor patient's vital signs, take height and weight for baseline data.
