Smart Gardening, Designed an IOT prototype for nursery/gardening which is a useful product in monitoring the environmental condition of the plant i.e. temperature, humidity in which the plant is kept and the soil moisture level of the soil in which the plant is growing. Apart from this this prototype also proved helpful in watering the plants when the soil starts drying and reach to a certain set threshold level, thus saving excessive watering. The system also sends daily update notifications to the gardener/caretaker, sending the sensor data. An IOT rule has been generated for sending alerts to facilitate the user under conditions, if the soil moisture sensor data falls below the threshold value set by the user, an alert message in the form of Email/SMS will be sent, and at the same time the water pump will turn on automatically & water the plants at the right time. Similarly, the alert is set for temperature & humidity sensor data i.e. if is goes above the set threshold value, an alert will be sent to the user and the caretaker can then take the respective precautions for the plants so that they should not be harm by the environmental conditions.
