Frank Mu

Graduated from the Chinese Music Department and Music Studies at the Central Conservatory of Music in 2005, he is a member of the Sanxian (Sanxian) Standing Committee of the Chinese National Orchestra Society and a member of the Ruan Society. He has also studied conducting with numerous renowned teachers. He is a plucked instrument instructor at several local music schools, the founding guitar instructor at SHO Music School, and a ukulele instructor at the En Community Services Society Elderly. He is a registered senior piano tuner in China and a piano tuner at Steinway & Sons in Singapore. He has been in Singapore for nearly 20 years, serving as a conducting and plucked instrument instructor at various government primary and secondary schools. Over the years, he has taught at over a dozen Chinese music and guzheng schools, achieving remarkable results in SYF competitions. Examples include the Rosyth School Chinese Orchestra, South View Primary School Chinese Orchestra, and Wellington Primary School Guzheng Ensemble. Currently, the Dunman Chinese Orchestra, Ngee Ann Secondary School, Ngee Ann Primary School Chinese Orchestra, and Holy Innocent Primary School Chinese Orchestra have all achieved outstanding results in competitions. Overall, conducting with passion, meticulous and natural musical interpretation, and attention to detail are what I strive for.
