Siew Ning Fan

I was part of the hospitality committee. Before the event, I helped out with home visits to invite people like the elderly or those who are wheelchair bound down for the event. During the event, I was paired with a wheelchair user and brought her around the area and address her needs during the event so that she could enjoy her time as much as possible.

I was part of the organising committee that organised befriending sessions at 4 different dialysis centres under the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) in the start of 2023.

During each session, I would oversee the other volunteers and also join in to interact with the dialysis patients during certain sessions. We would chat with them and play games with them with the aim to make their dialysis sessions less boring such that time would pass quicker for them.

I was involved in the painting of murals to brighten the space in the nursing home for both the elderly there as well as the nursing home staff.

I was a general volunteer for the National Day Parade in 2022. I assisted with the ushering of the audience to their seats. I also assisted with bringing primary school students to the venue and assisted their teachers in looking out for the students in terms of their meals and navigating the area.
