PAYMENT FOR SERVICES

  • Credit counselling is free
  • A non-refundable fee is chargeable if CCS is able to submit a Debt Management Program (DMP) proposal on your behalf to your creditors
  • The fee ranges between $50 to $250
  • You will be informed of the exact fee payable once the DMP proposal is ready for your acceptance
  • CCS does not guarantee approval of the DMP proposal by creditors
  • STEP 1 – TO GET AN APPOINTMENT (A) Gather the Required Supporting Documents Credit Bureau Report - Apply via Credit Bureau Singapore website www.creditbureau.com.sg with your SingPass or in person at its Money Lender Credit Bureau (MLCB) Report (only if you have existing loans from Licensed Moneylenders)

  • After all required documents have been received, CCS will inform you of your Counselling Appointment date/time
  • Counselling may be conducted in person at CCS office, via phone or via video call
  • You are requested to confirm your appointment at least one day before by calling 6338 2663
  • STEP 2 – TO RESCHEDULE THE COUNSELLING APPOINTMENT DATE
  • If you are unable to attend the session or take the phone/video call at the scheduled date/time, please inform CCS at least TWO WORKING

  • CONSENT AND AGREEMENT FOR CREDIT COUNSELLING SERVICES
  • Please read this section thoroughly before signing
  • I WISH TO REQUEST FOR CREDIT COUNSELLING AND HEREBY CONSENT AND AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING:
  • GENERAL I am voluntarily attending CCS credit counselling out of my own choice
  • I accept that my relationship with CCS is as follows: (a) CCS role is simply to provide credit counselling to me on a good faithbasis
  • (b) CCS does not provide me with any legal advice
  • (c) CCS is not acting as my agent or the agent of my creditors
  • (d) CCS is only using its best effort and makes no warranty or guarantee of solving my debt obligations
  • (e) CCS (including its debt advisors, counsellors, employees, contractors/volunteers, agents, members and directors) is providing assistance to me and does not owe me any legal or equitable duty or obligation or explanation whatsoever for its actions, or any action my creditors may take as a result of this request or otherwise
  • (f) CCS may notify my creditors that I have sought assistance from CCS, ifenquired
  • (g) Should CCS need to verify my identity with my creditors, CCS may do so by making a copy of my NRIC / passport / FIN in accordance with PDPA guidelines (h) CCS may disclose all my personal information (including my NRIC number, latest address and telephone number) and financial information to my creditors

  • PURPOSE OF CREDIT COUNSELLING I acknowledge that the purpose of a credit counselling session is to help me better understand my personal financial situation, and explore options to discharge my financial liabilities
  • I accept that counselling (a) is voluntary and will depend on my commitment to give full and frank disclosure of all relevant information; and (b) may not necessarily result in the making or submission of any debt repayment proposal
  • CONFIDENTIALITY I give my consent to CCS exercising its discretion to disclose my personal data, financial information and records of my visit to CCS to external agencies or individuals whom I have approached (directly or indirectly) for assistance
  • The purpose is to facilitate my request for assistance, authenticate my identity and/or verify such information communicated by me to those external agencies or individuals
  • These agencies and individuals include government departments, registered charities, health authorities, social service agencies, and Members of Parliament and their agents
  • I give my consent to CCS to report situations that are required by law
  • These include a reasonable suspicion of (1) past abuse to my current child, elder or dependent adult; and (2) a threat to the life, health or safety of myself or others
