I am a PGY 4 Medical Graduate currently working in Singapore after successfully completing my medical studies in Ireland (2020, infamously known as "the COVID Class of 2020").
To characterise my personal journey through Medicine would be to consider my personal anchoring belief of pursuing excellence for the benefit of another. Admittedly, there would be times where science may fall short in articulating the intangible aspects of our patients' stories; humbling us to recognise Medicine as also being a form of art, spurring us unto greater depths of insight into the human experience. I enjoy the prospect Medicine possesses to not only speak into undifferentiated physical ailments but provide healthcare through multiple avenues and possibilities. As I continue to grow in my encounters with patients across all forms of healthcare (primary, community, tertiary hospitals), I remain captivated by the sheer potential for greater multi-disciplinary, multi-specialty collaboration in our togetherness in advocating for the benefit of our patients.
