Summary

I hold a double-major degree in Psychology and Communications, as well as a Diploma in Communication and Information Design. With a strong academic foundation and combined work experience in both human behavior and strategic communication, I’m passionate about providing meaningful support to clients and stakeholders. I take pride in communicating with clarity, professionalism, and empathy—skills that are vital to building trust and cultivating strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams. Over the past six years, I have worked across diverse environments, developing strong adaptability, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills. Outside of work, I’m a Grade 8 pianist, an amateur poet, and an active animal rescuer—interests that reflect my creativity, discipline, and deep commitment to causes I care about. These qualities consistently inform my approach to work, helping me bring purpose, passion, and drive to everything I do.

  • Stakeholder and Partner Liaison: During my tenure here, I have liaised with major partners, including Ms Sun Xue Ling (Senior Minister of State for Transport of Singapore), a global consulting agency, and the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF). Most of the partners I’ve liaised with continue to keep in touch with me even though the projects we’ve collaborated on have concluded.
  • Project Management: I have led and managed three major projects, including one with MOE’s Lead Drama Specialist. This project was highly endorsed by Ms Sun Xue Ling and the organisation’s board members. I am well-versed in what managing a project entails, hence I can effectively see the project from start to finish. The current active projects I manage are:
  • 1. A 6-month project involving a total of 60+ stakeholders, beneficiaries and partners. I led and managed the first cycle of this project shortly after I joined the organisation, which was well received by all parties involved, leading the board to approve a second cycle, under my leadership and management.
  • 2. An upcoming 6-session project involving 15 beneficiaries, which is a partnership with a leading theatre company in Singapore.
  • Corporate Communications: Having an academic background in psychology and communications, in addition to my experience in the public relations industry, has equipped me with the skills required to liaise effectively with partners, stakeholders and beneficiaries in a way that meets their needs and expectations, while maintaining the organisation’s values and missions.

  • Partner Liaison: Successfully liaised with the Ministry of Health to secure financial assistance for a client’s family who amassed a $30,000+ medical debt due to the client’s care needs. Their appeal was previously denied for two consecutive years before I took over the case.
  • Project Management: Successfully oversaw and led a funding project between the organisation and the Ministry of Health (MOH).
  • Stakeholder Management: As a case manager, I was at the forefront of communication with approximately 100 clients under my care and their caregivers. I was able to manage them effectively even during moments of crisis/grievances in a calm and clear-headed manner, carrying out effective negotiations with them to ensure their grievances were heard while upholding the organisation’s policies.

  • Customer Service: Being a helpline para-counsellor required me always to be prepared for any type of call that came through the helpline. Handling an average of 20-50 calls a day, the job has equipped me with the communication skills to ensure the client’s needs are met while upholding the organisation’s protocols.
  • Case Management Support: The job required me to formulate detailed and concise case reports on clients for psychiatrists to follow up accordingly while ensuring that the psychiatrists’ appointment slots were not double-booked. Through this job, I’ve been trained to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal errors.
  • Crisis Management: Successfully prevented multiple suicide attempts through efficient crisis intervention & attention to detail, because I was able to stay calm in a stressful situation. The job required me to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal room for error. It is a skill I gained on this job that I still apply to other employment I’ve had since then.
