With over 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, I am a passionate and driven leader who oversees the operations of MENCK, a global provider of pile driving solutions. I started as a pile driving supervisor at MENCK GmbH, where I gained valuable technical and managerial skills, and progressed to become the Head of Operations at MENCK in 2016. In my current role, I manage the operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and safety standards of the company, working with a diverse and talented team of engineers, technicians, and project managers. I have also completed multiple certifications in presentation design, building trust, and motivating and engaging employees, which have enhanced my communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities. • Assuming overall responsibility for a wide range of operational departments, including Workshop, Warehouse, Procurement, Logistics, Field Service Technicians, Facility and Office Management.
• Ensuring that service quality and productivity metrics are met.
• Maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, delivery, and operational cost performance.
• Strategically planning regional headcount requirements for all operations deparments.
• Managing the offshore technician pool, which includes responsibilities such as making hiring/termination recommendations, overseeing performance management, facilitating development, and training, and coordinating personnel scheduling.
• Assisting in managing customer contacts, contract and purchase order requirements, as well as planning and scheduling.
• Overseeing equipment sourcing.
• Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing operational and maintenance data, monitoring trends, and providing progress reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for management.
• Collaborating in the establishment of operational performance indicators to assist in achieving departmental KPIs.
• Presenting and justifying operational proposals, including but not limited to Capital Expenditure (Capex) Requests.
• Coordinating with various internal departments for financial and operational planning, including Projects, Sales, Finance, and Purchasing.
• Establishing connections with other Acteon group companies in Singapore.
• Managing facilities at both the strategic and operational levels, optimizing space and resource allocation, and liaising with external suppliers.
• Overseeing and assuming full responsibility for all workshop operations, projects, and staff, spanning the Workshop, Warehouse, and Field Service Technician departments.
• Creating work orders and all necessary technical documentation. • Efficiently coordinating resources, including technicians, equipment, tools, and workspace.
• Managing project budgets, as well as the maintenance and procurement of facilities, equipment, and tools, while closely monitoring forecasts, actuals, Capital Expenditure (CapEx), and Operating Expenditure (OpEx).
• Preparing both internal and external service documentation to ensure clear and comprehensive communication.
• Proactively initiating collaborative improvements with other departments.
• Assisting local management in establishing a professional organization, encompassing equipment management, quality inspection, and workshop operations.
• Developing and delivering a comprehensive technical training program for the SG team, along with creating training materials.
• Collaborating with MENCK GER to implement and refine operational procedures at MENCK SG.
• Overseeing and executing Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), acceptance tests, and quality assessments.
• Providing comprehensive technical support for project management, equipment, and workshop operations, as well as the sales department.
• Offering remote technical support for Field Service operations.
• Conducting training sessions and guiding the execution of risk assessments and safety instructions, particularly concerning equipment handling and loading.
• Serving as the local key account for IT systems, including MS Navision and Genesis World.
• Collaborating with various departments at MENCK, including equipment management, project management, engineering, warehouse, logistics, and maintenance.
• Operating equipment during onshore and offshore assignments.
• Conducting handovers and commissioning of MENCK equipment to clients and customers.
• Providing instructions and training to clients on the operation and maintenance of MENCK's equipment.
• Compiling project documentation and generating reports in accordance with MENCK's reporting system.
• Undertaking all mechanical installation tasks to support both new and existing machinery, working from engineering drawings or schematics with minimal supervision, particularly for the assembly of MENCK Equipment.
• Diagnosing and rectifying machinery failures or breakdowns, both mechanical and electrical, while referencing equipment manuals on-site.
• Inspecting and reporting on equipment conditions, offering spare parts recommendations, and rebuilding to higher standards as necessary.
• Regularly liaising with relevant individuals within the company and client organizations to provide updates on job status.
