Atera Water (www.aterawater.com) is a Water Technology start-up leveraging on nano technology to develop a range of low cost membranes for the purification of water in developing markets.

Led the development and execution of a US$1bn power and seawater desalination project with a 15 years Power and Water Procurement Agreement with Oman Power and Water Company. The plant was commissioned in 2012 and was listed in the Muscat Stock Exchange in 2013. Elected as Chairman of the Board in 2016.

• Responsible for executing the strategy and growth of Vopak in China.

• Led the marketing and development of an EPC business for onshore facilities from 1990-1995.
• Pioneered the Centralised Utilities concept in 1995 and developed the business in Jurong Island with over S$1bn investments from 1995 to 2003. Expanded the business into China and also led the acquisition of ETOL from Enron in Teesside, UK in 2003.
• Led the growth of the thermal power business into Middle East, India, Myanmar, Bangladesh and China.
• Led the growth of the renewables power business in China (2012) and India (2015).

Started as a design engineer for offshore structures in the Oil & Gas industries with resident experience in UK (London) and Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur and Miri, Sarawak).
