I have two children. My elder girl was born premature and later diagnosed with cerebral palsy. She is GMFCS Level 2. In her early years, I have attended therapy sessions with her, both occupational therapy and physiotherapy. I have also attended sessions with her at AWWA when she was in preschool. Through the years, although I have not been working with children with special needs, I can say that my passion still lies here. Now that my child is older, I am hoping to get back to work in this field.
My eventual goal is to become a speech therapist and have intention to apply for Master of Science (Speech and Language Pathology) offered jointly by the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (SoM) and the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS).
