  • Conceptualized design of semi- auto vacuum station to Panasonic Mfg. Phils. This machine was conceptualized, designed and assembled locally. (August 2013)
  • Successful recovery and decommissioning of CIM1400 micro-crystal silicon CVD machine after fire incident that prompted emergency shutting down of utilities including scrubber systems. (January 2013)
  • Conceptualized automatic pre and post cryo pump overhauling testing. (July 2012)
  • Modification and evaluation of laser scribe recipe to increase active cell width and improve Pmax. (July 2012)

Leader

ULVAC Singapore PTE LTD
01.2010 - 07.2013
  • Provides machines, process engineering and quality systems expertise in turnkey thin film PV (photovoltaic) technology including customer training. Turnkey line includes all machines and process necessary to produce PV modules and are being offered to customer as packaged business. Thin film PV turnkey line is composed of the following systems/ process.
  • ULVAC CCV1400 and CIM1400- Deposits semiconductor silicon layer with amorphous and microcrystalline character on glass substrate using plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition.
  • ULVAC SCH135B- Deposits TCO (Transparent Conductive Oxide) and metal (Ag and Ti) on top of Si layer using physical vapor deposition to serve a back electrode of solar cells.
  • TCO, Silicon and Metal Laser Scribe Systems- Cuts deposited layer on glass substrate into 119 cells. This process enables the monolithic interconnection of cells.
  • HOT Spot and Edge Deletion Laser- Scribes hot-spot line to improve solar cells performance against partial shading then deletes 11-14mm of the modules edge to isolate cells from side frames.
  • Nisshinbo Mechatronics Solar Simulator- Tests photovoltaic modules under simulated Air Mass 1.5 Global terrestrial conditions
  • ULVAC MPEC1300- Quality Assurance System- A multi-probe evaluation system for thin film properties using Raman Spectroscopy, Spectroscopic Ellipsometer, HI/ low resistivity and Stylus profiler.
  • Minor systems such as: Electrode formation machine, 2D ID Laser machine, Cleaning Machines, Vacuum Laminators, Cure Oven, Junction box termination line and Hi-Potential testing.
  • Job scope encompasses process and equipment engineering tasks such as SOP development, failure analysis, system performance monitoring, product quality monitoring/ improvement, preventive maintenance checklist development, customer training on operation and maintenance. Creates and modifies tool recipe and program for NPI’s (New Process Introduction). Performs equipment sign-off, SL (safety level) 1, 2, 3 activities & documentation of new machines then conduct validation or dummy run before they are endorsed to manufacturing
  • Conducts product failure analysis using ULVAC MPEC 1300 this thin film characterization equipment can measure refractive index and transparent film thickness using spectroscopic ellipsometry, PVD layer thickness using stylus, semiconductor layer crystallization using Raman Spectroscopy.
  • Coordinate with customer systems BOM (Bill of Materials) review to determine fast moving, slow moving, repairable and consumable parts and to determine parts MIN/ MAX requirement with respect to number of tools and production device loading. Conducts equipment audit to determine customer compliance on preventive maintenance of parts such as vacuum valves, door valves, vacuum pumps, leak detectors and rehabilitation of performing equipments.
