Summary

I am currently a master student in Data Science at School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, The University of Melbourne, Australia. In 2020, I received the dual bachelor’s degree in computer science and computer and information science from China Jiliang University and Auckland University of Technology respectively. Starting from August 2023, I will pursue the Ph.D. degree at the University of Technology Sydney under the supervision of Distinguished Professor Jie Lu.


I am also machine learning researcher with research interests in representation learning. If there exists a unified theory in machine learning, computer vision, and pattern recognition, I believe in that it must be representation learning. Under the principled framework of representation learning, my long-term research goals are:

  • explore and understand the mechanism and way of encoding sensory data employing by our brain;
  • develop unsupervised or self-supervised deep learning methods with high interpretability;
  • design new methods for deep subspace clustering and deep clustering.
  • revisit knowledge distillation, transfer learning, metric learning, classification, etc;
