  • As a biotechnologist I play a role in the small scale manufacturing team. Specifically, I am a part of the upstream team that deals with the manufacture of therapeutic proteins under cGMP conditions. This role is carried out mainly under clean room environments and utilizes the latest equipment in the biopharmaceutical industry to complete our designated tasks which includes Out-of-Freeze (OOF), Subculture inoculation, Wave bag/Reactor inoculations followed by Harvesting. Aseptic techniques are key in handling of materials and products. In this role, we are able to display basic process and equipment troubleshooting as well under both routine and non-routine scenarios.
  • Worked in tandem with regulatory requirements in cell culture proliferation.
  • Collaborated with cross-functional teams, sharing expertise in molecular biology techniques and contributing to successful project completion.
  • Evaluated current literature and made effective adjustments to current SOP requirements in manufacturing process area.
  • Implemented a Continuous Improvement project to improve workflow within the laboratories in the cleanroom.
  • Able to learn quickly and with key attention to the details.
