  • Receive and review raw data and factual reports pertaining to Soil Investigation (e.g., Borehole drilling, Cone Penetration Testing, Laboratory testing), Soil Instrumentation (e.g., Settlement plates, Piezometers, Extensometers), and Prefabricated Vertical Drain (PVD) installation.
  • Ensure the collection of high-quality data and samples, manage and interpret results, and compile findings into comprehensive geotechnical factual reports.
  • Update and maintain the Geo-Database with soil investigation and instrumentation data, as well as PVD installation records; perform queries and extract relevant information.
  • Develop visual presentations of data using the QGIS system, retrieving data from an SQL database, and executing queries and filtering as required.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and collaboration with other departments, sub-contractors, and consultants.
  • Provide support for construction activities.
  • Prepare Technical Notes for Soil Improvement Work.

Accomplishments

With over 14 years of experience in the field of building construction engineering, I have honed my skills and expertise through a diverse range of professional engagements. I embarked on my career journey with Fadely Enterprises & Construction Pte Ltd in March 2008 as an Assistant Site Engineer, seeking practical experience. After acquiring valuable insights, I transitioned to a more promising role in February 2011.


From March 2011 to March 2015, I served as a Project Engineer at Toa-Jdn (PUT) Joint Venture. Subsequently, I joined Santarli Construction Pte Ltd as a Site Engineer, a position I held from March 2015 to June 2020. To expand my knowledge in geotechnical engineering, I worked with Hyundai Engineering and Construction Co. Ltd as a Geotechnical Engineer between September 2020 and April 2021. Currently, I am employed at Boskalis International B.V as a Geotechnical Engineer since June 2021. This decision to relocate to Singapore has afforded me numerous opportunities to demonstrate my potential, tackling daily challenges that further my professional growth.


Boskalis, with its origins in the Netherlands, boasts over a century of expertise in hydraulic engineering, coastal protection, and land reclamation. The company's headquarters are situated in Papendrecht, supported by a robust global network of branches. Operating in 90 countries across six continents, Boskalis commands a versatile fleet exceeding 700 vessels and floating equipment. My role encompasses providing technical and engineering support to project teams, identifying and assessing potential geotechnical risks, and planning and organizing site in-situ testing and submissions to authorities.


Throughout my career, I have attended several technical courses, enhancing my proficiency and equipping me with specialized knowledge to manage complex situations requiring advanced expertise. I am confident that my skills contribute significantly to the company's business development. My proficiency in SQL and Python enables me to integrate these languages into daily engineering tasks, thereby increasing effectiveness and efficiency. Additionally, I am proud of my contribution to technical design innovation within the organization, specifically the development of Green PVD—a 100% plant-based material—which earned the innovation design award.
