I am excited to embark on the Youth Corps Leaders Programme, a 9–12 month community leadership development initiative tailored for youths with prior experience in leadership and community service. This journey will provide me with the opportunity to work alongside individuals from diverse backgrounds, enriching my perspective and fostering teamwork. I will hone my skills in effectively pitching ideas and projects to stakeholders and key partners, develop expertise in fundraising to support team initiatives, and take an active role in steering our program to successful completion. This experience promises to enhance my leadership capabilities and deepen my commitment to meaningful community impact.
During my internship, the first 3 months, I was in the marketing department and would do data entry, design posters, and find new clients. In the last 3 months, I was part of the customer service department and would call clients to make sure they were following the rules and regulations during the COVID/circuit breaker period.
I volunteered at AWWA during my holidays, assisting in their library. My responsibilities included organizing and cataloging books, helping visitors find resources, and creating an inviting space for learning and community engagement. This experience not only strengthened my organizational skills but also deepened my understanding of community service and inclusion, aligning with my values of empathy and leadership
