1. Supervision : Lead and supervise a team of pipe fitters, welders, and helpers in the piping section
2. Drawing & Isometrics : Read and interpret piping drawings, P&ID, isometrics and ensure work is done as per drawing
3. Installation : Oversee pipe spool fabrication, fit-up, alignment, and installation on vessels, skid, and shipyard projects
4. Quality Control : Ensure all piping work meets company and client standards. Check dimensions, weld joints, and pressure test requirements
5. Safety : Enforce safety procedures, toolbox meetings, and PPE compliance on site
6. Material & Manpower : Request materials, tools, and coordinate manpower with supervisor/project engineer
7. Reporting : Update daily progress to supervisor/manager and ensure targets are met on time
8. Marine Shipyard Projects : Work on marine/ship repair and new building projects as per yard schedule
1. Maintenance & Repair : Do preventive and breakdown maintenance of cement plant machines - crusher, ball mill, kiln, cooler, conveyor, fan, pump
2. Fitting & Alignment : Dismantle, repair, and fit mechanical parts like bearings, gearboxes, couplings, pulleys, and rollers. Check alignment
3. Reading Drawings : Read mechanical drawings, P&ID, and equipment manuals for repair work
4. Lubrication : Do regular greasing and oil checks as per maintenance schedule
5. Welding & Grinding : Minor fabrication, cutting, grinding, and welding for support brackets and chutes
6. Inspection : Inspect equipment for wear and tear, vibration, noise, and leakage. Report defects
7. Installation : Help in installation and commissioning of new machines and conveyor systems
8. Safety : Follow plant safety rules, LOTO procedure, and use PPE. Work in hot, dusty environment safely
9. Record Keeping : Update maintenance logbook and report job completion to Mechanical Engineer/Foreman
10. Troubleshooting : Find root cause of breakdown and reduce downtime to keep production running
1. Reading Drawings : Read and understand fabrication drawings, isometrics, GA drawings and P&ID
2. Marking & Layout : Mark measurements on plates, pipes, and steel structures as per drawing
3. Cutting & Fitting : Cut, grind, and fit plates, pipes, beams, and structural parts for fabrication
4. Assembly : Assemble spools, skids, pipe supports, and structural parts. Tack weld and prepare for welding
5. Alignment : Check alignment, level, and dimensions using measuring tools like tape, square, and spirit level
6. Quality Check : Ensure work meets drawing specs, tolerance, and company/client standards
7. Safety : Follow WSH safety rules. Use PPE. Keep work area clean and safe
8. Material Handling : Handle materials with crane, forklift, and lifting tools safely
9. Support Welders : Prepare joints and fit-ups for welders. Do grinding and finishing work
10. Reporting : Report progress and material issues to Foreman/Supervisor
