  • Created a new Global Customs function in APAC, building relationships with Market SCM teams as well as other key stakeholders (Tax, Finance, NTP and Legal) improving cross-functional collaboration.
  • Kicked off projects to review Inbound and Customs operations in all Markets to identify duty saving opportunities, optimize operational processes, and strengthen compliance.
  • Completed broker tenders generating substantial savings (-13% for PAC, and -25% for SEA).
  • Implementation of the Low Value Relief for eCom shipments to NZ (expected duty savings of up to NZD 400k a year, reducing total duty bill by 30%).
  • Review of Japan's operating model resulting in duty savings of EUR 5.7m in 2023.
  • Assessment of safeguard measures in ID, supporting Local-for-Local initiatives to mitigate negative impact.
  • As part of APAC's integration with EM, completed review of the Dubai Free Zone operating model. Recommendations expected to be completed in Q1 2024.
