Returning to Leinster- I undertook a position as a Trainer and Assessor within the Training Department Team. My role here has encompassed my training, workplace health and safety and auditing certifications - skills and knowledge.
A diverse role, actively involved with the management and compliance of employees training requirements matching their job roles and skill gap identification.
Presentation of inductions to new to site and new to industry employees,
Verification of Competency assessments for operators on equipment and machinery in the underground and surface mining environments.
Employed as an underground haul truck driver operating both the Epiroc MT65 and Sandvik 663I vehicles in the underground operations at Plutonic Gold mine. Duties extended to the training of new drivers to reach the set VOC standard.
I proudly commenced working for BHP employed as underground haul truck operator at their Nickel west operations in Leinster. I was privileged to receive excellent training with this organisation which I applied to my task of dump truck operator of the Epiroc MT65. During this time, I had no serious incidents occur and an exemplary work record. I was very quickly entrusted to assist training of new dump truck drivers.
I commenced working for RHT Contracting (Civil Contractors) at BHP in Leinster initially in an administration /operator role before progressing to full time operator.
In my administration position, duties included the daily data entry of civil contract works, bookings of flights and accommodation for staff using the BHP workflow system/ mobilisation and inductions of new starters/ HSE administration and various other mining industry administrative tasks.
Due to organisational restructure and a desire to expand my ground floor knowledge, I moved to a full - time operator position. Experience in the following Bin Truck - Hard rock underground ore (Komatsu 60) Hard rock ore haulage - Off Rom stockpiles to ROM (Komatsu 605/Komatsu 740 articulated dump and ejector/ water truck operations (Cat 740 and smaller Isuzu).
Some exposure to Wheel Loader operations - screening/loading road trains with sand product.
Commenced on this newly owned franchise working in the high- end relocation industry.
Duties included sales administration/customer service/dispute resolution /invoicing/accounts/data entry/staff scheduling and rostering/Inductions for new starters/ Health and safety audits/Compliance audits for Heavy Vehicle accreditation. I was also responsible for relocation bookings by use of the AMOS/Sirva management system.

The company also has long standing business associations with FCL/Crown Removals/Movements International and Warner’s Transport and Distribution. Worked in all facets and tasks of the business
Responsible for the management and facilitating of external studies at Australia’s largest medium security prison Serco-Acacia prison, liaising with universities TAFES and RTOs across Australia. Other duties included inductions for new intakes, interviews, training, planning and management of education pathways for incarcerated students. Invigilator of university examination within the prison. All administrative duties inclusive data base management, records management, educational supply ordering and distribution.
Self- employed RABQSA registered quality management systems contract auditor in the Transport and Logistics Industry for business’s large and small, requiring West Australian Main Roads Heavy Vehicle Accreditation/National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation and Trucksafe Accreditation. Audits were undertaken examining a company’s Management systems, policies and procedures – Maintenance/Fatigue management, compliance of the Commercial Driver’s Code of Practice and 1984 Occupational Health and Safety Act Regulations on an annual basis.
Employed as a Security Officer at Perth Airport for the above security contractors.
Duties included passenger screening, public relations, report writing, follow all security processes, policies and procedures, liaison with the Australian Protective Service, West Australian Police and Customs departments.
Initially employed as a Sales Representative in this new franchise for Western Australia and then engaged in the setup of the Office and Warehousing Systems and Quality Management system.
