- Responsible for the integration and testing of equipment involved in the Airport Baggage Handling System (BHS) and Parcel conveyor systems.
- Troubleshooting of the various electro-mechanical faults that arise from the equipment testing, which involves integrated subsystems/machineries such as photo electric cells (PEC), PLC controller (Siemens), motors, Local Motor Starters (Siemens), barcode reader camera (SICK), Raw conveyors, Individual carrier systems (ICS), bag sortation conveyors and Automated storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS)
- Participate in RMR (Retrofit, Modification, Replacement) projects for Airport baggage systems, which involves Installation and/or dismantling of new, modified, or obsolete equipment to/from the existing baggage handling system to extend functionalities or meet client requirements. This includes motor drives, servo amplifiers, bag weighing instruments etc.
- Read and understand technical documents like Electrical diagram (Single Line Diagram) in troubleshooting faults associated with electrical circuits.
- Ensure that the standard operating procedure documents for machine maintenance and operations are maintained periodically and updated when required.
- Extract meaningful information from machine logs and field computers to narrow down the root cause after major operational issues.
- Provide training to junior Technicians and engineers on component repairing, sensor calibration and maintenance procedures.
