Under the mentorship of Dr. Trish Scanlin, I volunteered for their global site located in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania at Muhimbili Hospital. On site, I volunteered in the kitchen to make high calorie shakes and sandwiches for the children undergoing treatment for cancer and living in the hospital for several months. Additionally, I traveled to another IIPAN site in Nairobi Kenya to help create a fundraising strategy.
