Hearst Ventures with Mark Redman Senior Vice President and co-general counsel. This was a two week shadowing experience consisting of six other highschool students where we met with the head of different unique departments and got to understand the ins and outs of the business.

Maintained a clean and organized workspace for optimal productivity and safety. Improved my communications with customers, during hectic periods to earn a better tip or create a positive environment.

• Promoted a welcoming atmosphere by greeting customers with a friendly demeanor and promptly addressing their needs.

Under the mentorship of Dr. Trish Scanlin, I volunteered for their global site located in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania at Muhimbili Hospital. On site, I volunteered in the kitchen to make high calorie shakes and sandwiches for the children undergoing treatment for cancer and living in the hospital for several months. Additionally, I traveled to another IIPAN site in Nairobi Kenya to help create a fundraising strategy.
