Summary

I am currently a senior manager Business Development Manager at Prudential Singapore, partnered and supporting 2 segments, personal banking and wealth banking of United Overseas Bank (UOB).

Together with partners, I have grown the total production of sales groups (total of 10 UOB branches) by close to 50% and production per headcount by 40%

As a coach, I was an investment and Bancassurance trainer at Manulife Singapore, developing new training curriculum and training both high net worth bankers and financial advisors, both soft and technical skills. I was then placed to train and to coach the MDRT achievers of Manulife agencies.

I also hosted as an emcee various events like the townhalls and adhoc events for both employees and customers for Manulife

In terms of management, I was previously a team head of DBS bank, in charge of 15 sales and service staffs.

As an individual contributor, I have a outstanding sales track record and experience

Not only am I able to also train and impart both technical and soft skills to a large group of participants

From an individual contributor to a manager to a coach and now to a segment level manager, I am a person of action and executions and am obsessed with delivering results.

  • · Devise and execute customer/product propositions/strategies to raise productivity across 2 segments – personal banking and wealth banking segments
  • · Led the team for the first ILP product launch in the bank since 10 years.
  • Work closely with Bank stakeholders (Sales Team heads, Insurance Specialists, Relationship Managers) to ensure achievement of Bancassurance targets,
  • share market intelligence, sales/customer statistics and sales concepts with the relevant stakeholders.
  • · Identify individual sellers who need additional coaching to meet higher production targets.
  • Devise coaching methodology and conduct effective coaching sessions for both bankers and team heads
  • · Organise facilitate or coordinate with segment activities such as seminars and briefings
  • · Initiated business case across various internal and external stakeholders for driving productivity

Achievements:

  • Grew sales group total production (total of 10 branches) by close to 70% and production per headcount by 50% over a the span of less than1 year ( March – November)
  • Led the team for the first ILP product launch in the bank since 10 years. Launch was a success, becoming the top gross product in the premier segments
  • One of the most effective sales coaches, coaching not only personal and premier bankers, but also branch managers and team heads
