Summary

Eight years of experience working in a Forensic Psychiatric Correctional setting in partnership in a multidisciplinary capacity with the Institute of Mental Health.

Tasks involved mitigating disruptive and destructive behaviours arising from psychiatric illnesses and disorders - psychosis, schizophrenia, mood disorders and severe personality disorders.

Provided valuable inputs and assessments for IMH Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Counsellors and Occupational Therapists.

Managed and directed an Interdisciplinary Team to address the behavioural issues of disruptive and severely depressed offenders within the Cluster A at the Changi Prison Complex Institutions A5 from 2011 until 2016 and then, at A3 from 2016 until the present.

Often managed and therapeutic support for offenders with mood disorders such as depression, dysthymia and suicidal ideations.

As a Registered Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) CARE Officer, provided support and training for aspiring CARE Officers.

Crisis Incident Management (MHA) trained - routinely conduct debriefs for Psychologists and other Correctional Officers who are involved in emergency and often potentially traumatic events such Judicial Executions and assaults.
